Beautiful Picture, unreliable lamp

I love using my projector for movies and for PS4 gameplay. The picture is beautiful. Unfortunately, the lamp doesn't perform for as long as it should.

After finally deciding to take the projector plunge and countless hours researching, the 8350 was invited into my home. I also purchased my first bluray player and toy story 3. This projector out of the box playing Toy Story 3 was beyond amazing. I have the projector 11' away from a 92" pull down screen. I mounted it on the ceiling and the video inverted with the remote in about 10 seconds. The fan on this thing just wispers. You have to TRY to hear it in order to hear it. While I am a NOOB at the home theater thing, My projector makes me look like the king!!

Installed this projector upstairs on the ceiling 14 feet away from the screen. Installed a 119" screen. We watch it about 14 feet away. Fantastic picture quality. Installed a blue ray player and the picture is crystal clear with no screen door effect. Black level is very good. The best purchase I ever made. Have a 65" big scrren behind the scrren and what a difference in impact watching a movie.

I just received my projector yesterday and have been very impressed with the image quality so far. THe projector is super quiet and has dazzling vibrance in colors and clarity. For SD discs, the quality is very nice. For Blu Ray discs, the imgage gets a little too bright. So bright and sharp it causes eye strain and hurts my eyes after a typical 2 hour viewing of the a movie.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Up and running in a couple of hours

I was pleased to receive the Powerlite HC 8350, and was able to install the ceiling mount and have it up and running in about 2 hours using all default settings. It works very well using HDMI to to connect to my blu-ray DVD player or to my iMac. Picture quality is excellent, and the projector is able to display a 90+ inch diagonal 16:9 image across only a 9' 4" distance to the screen. The lense shift capability is excellent, making it very easy to position the ceiling mount. The only thing I found difficult was registering the unit on the Epson support site, because it was hard to find the model in the registration screens.

I have been a CTR devotee for many years and loved it. I have owned three three gun projectors and loved them. Ambient light was always a concern. Out of the box, this projector is spectacular and my wife loves not having to live in a cave. High noon, windows and doors open, VERY WATCHABLE!!! Projecting 120"
