I haven't had this product long, but my experience so far is nothing short of amazing for two reasons. First, it was extremely easy to set up and use without significant reading. Just plug it in and it worked. The remote control layout is simple and clear, with mystery buttons explained in the instruction book should you want to use them. But I would suspect most people won't. Second, I am amazed at the level of help Epson offers. I can't say how quick or useful this help is, because I haven't needed any, but they sure make it easy to get service. The projector produces a spectacular image limited only by the quality of your source material. Very bright. There are just two minor down sides that have more to do with how I am using it than with its quality: 1. it's not compact. This is a big unit not meant to be portable. 2. if you have a large surface to fill, and a modest throw distance, the image might not fill the space. Read the Epson chart on distances and image size before you buy if this is a factor. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend this based on my experience.

this projector is AWESOME. 120" + HD picture on my wall!! We hate to go anywhere to watch games and movies. The kids love to play Xbox on this--it is like being in the game. It is bright, sharp, colorful, and does not need total darkness--we just close the blinds and watch day or night. Easy to set up, and use. Will always have a projector in the house

Amazing

This projector is nothing short of AMAZING!! Super clear picture at 136 inches... It can also be viewed with a great picture even though the lights are on!! This is something I was a bit worried about prior to purchasing but it does work great in a average lit room. I am super satisfiied with this unit!

Perfect for an Outdoor Theater

We purchased our Epson 8350 projector in May 2011 as an upgrade for our outdoor theater on our deck. We have the projector installed on a cart that easily rolls out back for family and friends movie night. During the off season, we installed it in my brother's home theater. He liked it so much that he bought one as well.
The projector has been extremely reliable and produces a great 1080p picture. I would definitely recommend this projector for others.

Great Home Theater Projector

I did the research and found this beauty. Even my home theater professional recommended this unit. Great specs. and great price for home theater / room use. Especially attractive was the large len shift - a must for a 10' ceiiling in our theater. Super quiet. Easy set-up and alignment adjustments in under one hour (mount and wiring were already installed), and worked perfectly right out of the box. Far better performance than my 6 year old DLP projector (with the exploded color wheel). Bright screen even in lit room. Detailed feature documentation poor (many areas) and website no additional help. One specific was I couldn't find EXACTLY what side of the rear IR window to attach the remote IR light. Registration didn't work on my XP computer but did on my Win7 computer. Replacement bulbs prices are relatively "less expensive". Would I recommend this unit - ABSOLUTELY !!!!

best priced high-contrast projector

The 1080 resolution is excellent, but the 50k:1 contrast is what makes the image so beautiful (in a dark room.) Other projectors with this level of contrast cost double. The epson 5025 has even better contrast, but also costs double. The epson 2030 is only about 20% cheaper, and with 15K:1 contrast, does not have an image that is as satisfying. Also like the lens shift, can have projector to the side, not right in the middle of the sofa where you might bump it. Wish it was small like the 2030, and had the built in sound, but best deal out there for an image that is as good as a flat screen, and much bigger.

So Far So Good - Quite Pleased

I've had this 8350 projector for a month or so now and I'm glad I purchased it. The price was outstanding. The image is pretty darn good, colors seem good, brightness is very good.
My only real concern is that I smell a slight burning smell from time to time when in use.
All in all, not much to complain about, yet. I'm concerned about bulb life and overall unit life, but it's too early to tell.
