LAMP LIFE

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PROJECTOR. THE MONEY SPENT IS WELL WORTH IT. ONLY THING BAD IS THE LAMP LIFE IS SUPPOSE TO BE AROUND 4000 HRS BUT END UP ONLY GETTING 2500 HRS OF LIFE WITH MODERATE USE. AND THE REPLCEMENT LAMP FROM EPSON IS ABOUT 1/4 OF THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF THE WHOLE UNIT.

the projector has a excellent picture and easy to set up. clean filter every month so projector won't overheat. the bulb only lasted 2000 hours on the eco setting.

No problems until after warrenty was up!

The projector worked great until suddenly after
the manufacturer's warranty was up the projector was displaying a small distracting white circle in the lower left corner on picture, it was the most noticeable during dark scenes. I purchased the extended warranty and because of that I was able to get a replacement projector from Best Buy as it was not able to be repaired. I would not buy this projector again because I should not have had to buy an extended warranty for a product that should last for for a few years at least !!!!!
Don't buy without extended warranty!!!!!

This a great projector. It has great color and brightness for the cost. We paired it up with a 106" Elite screen and it gives a perfect picture for movies, football games, and is awesome when playing video games. My family and friends are so jealous. Wow. I would recomend it to family and friends.

Why anyone would buy anything else, is beyond me. With this projector, I have a 8ft by 12ft screen in my basement which looks incredible! This unit especially shines with a bluray movie and the blinds pulled. For the money, I'd put this projector up against anything. By the way, I built my screen out of 2x4's, nice projector cloth bought in bulk, and trimmed it out with black felt tape and nice trim.

Second one works well

I bought this for my dedicated home theater when we finished the basement. The room is fully dark with no windows and is about 12'x20'.
I bought the projector in March of 2013 but due to delays, it wasn't installed (ceiling mount) until December of 2013. It worked well for the first month but then started giving me an Iris Error. I would unplug it and fire it back up and it would work fine. Setting the auto iris to on or off made no difference in the frequency of this error. After reading about the problems many have had with this, I called Epson and they sent me a refurbished unit.
It arrived very quickly and in a package that was re-usable with a return label. Although it was refurbished, it had no scratches on it and it has performed flawlessly for the past 4 months. It is worth doing some fine tuning on the settings based on your use and there are many websites with opinions on what is best. The standard settings are fairly bright and with a dark room, I didn't need it that bright and I'm hoping that lowering it may extend the bulb life as they are $$$.
All-in-all, if this one holds up well, I am happy with the projector!

Excellent Value & Warranty Service
on July 8, 2014

I purchased a refurbished EPSON 8350 projector from online retailer. The unit shipped from the retailer had a defect focus ring - so I immediately had to access the dedicated EPSON customer service line advertised by the retailer.
While it was not ideal to have to deal with a defective unit EPSON customer service was excellent - they shipped me a replacement unit that I recieved within 3 days.
The new unit has worked flawlesly. I have been very impressed with the image quality and for the price I think that it is an exceptional value.
