Great picture for the price

People are in awe when they see the screen size and quality of the picture. It gives you that true Home Theater feel. All for the price of a medium sized big screen TV. Bigger screen size than you could ever imagine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I thought this Epson 8350 Projector was excellent before; but I thought I would have a close friend who is a media professional calibrate it for optimum performance, WOWWWW!!! Unbelievable !!!
It the most defined, realistic picture I've ever seen in a home theater/media setting !!! Superb !!
The depth of field and detail make the view appear as if you can reach out and touch the picture subject and scenery!!
Thanks for engineering such a wonderful product!

NO REPAIR DEALER IN PUERTO RICO/USA?
on May 13, 2014

I HAVE THIS MOVIE PROJECTOR. FROM THE FIRST OR 2ND. MONTH THE AUTO IRIS COMES IN. I TURNED OFF THE PROJECTOR, AND THEN THE AUTO IRIS GOES OUT, AND EPSON LOGO APPEARS, AND IT GOES OK. NOW, I HAVE THIS FOR 2 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS. THIS MAY 2014, THE LAMP/FAN STARTED TO BLINK IN RED, ANY PROJECTION. I NEED SOMEBODY TO DIAGNOSE/REPAIR THE ITEM IF IT WORTH IT, BUT WHERE? I HAVE TO SAY, THE IMAGE WAS EXTRAORDINARY,CRISTAL CLEAR WHEN IT WORKS.

Epson 8350 HC Projector

I was very excited when I bought this projector. The picture quality was very good and I use it as my primary display device. I use it on a 120" fixed screen. The problem with this projector is the lamps. I was able to use my original lamp for a bout 5 months before it became so dim it was unwatchable. The next lasted about 3 months. The next lasted about 2 months. Now the lamps are too dim after a month. Even out of the box the replacement lamps are quite dim. I have only had this projector for a little more than a year. I am extremely dissatisfied!!!!!!!!!!! I have spent a small fortune keeping this projector going with lamps and I am now looking to replace the projector with a competitor.

Best Digital HD Projector for the Money!
on September 28, 2011

I have owned several digital projectors and this is by far the best. Set-up was easy, the unit has user-friendly menus, it's HDMI ready, and has far surpassed all of my expectations for home theater use.
The unit runs as quiet as any I've ever heard, and draws little heat and dust. In the Living Room mode I can turn on all the lights at night or open the blinds during the day and the colors are just brilliant! the 60,000:1 contrast ratio is equivelant to most HD LCD TV's. The deal can't be beat for the price and the quality.
Football and movies have never looked better! I highly recommend this projector.

Fabulous

Traded up from a competitor after two years usasge. This product is fabulous.
Great picture; great price; lamp cools down quickly; great adjustments -- my projector sits on a high shelf -- with my previous model I had to hang it upside down but with the lens adjustments did not have to mount specially.
I throw mine on a 106" screen about 17 feet. Nice and bright.
One downside -- bulb was rated at 4,000 hours but lasted only 662. However, it was replaced no questions asked via overnight -- great support.

Tired of bulb issues!!
on December 15, 2013

Short and sweet.....Had bulb issues(3-4)with my 8100 so I returned it to get the 8350. Once again I went through several bulbs on the 8350 getting about 700 hours life on each. Finally Epson said it must be a an issue with the projector. Sent me a refurb to replace the new one and the projector didn't even power on unless I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. They sent me another refurb and now this one makes a horrible ticking sound for the first 30 mins it's on. Don't know if I'll ever get a good working projector, so for now I deal with the ticking.

Pleasant surprise on installation

Good News - Bad News:
Bad News first - there is NO provision for attaching a safety cable to this projector. A safety cable is a great insurance policy when mounting an expensive piece of equipment overhead - especially when it weighs 16 pounds. Additionally, I could not find a screen alignment grid in the setup menu.
Good News - Set up was a dream come true. The ability to move the lens (using the built in control wheels) and zoom to screen size, made alignment on my screen a 2 minute process. Color, brightness, size, and focus - it all is fantastic. This is the 3rd projector in our home theater - two other non-Epson projectors preceded the Epson. How I wish this Epson had been available when we first built our home theater. Alignment of the other projectors was a two hour ordeal and the screen size was never quite right.
Thank you Epson for a great piece of hardware. You would have received 5 stars if the unit had a safety cable attachment point.
