Hmmmmm........

I bought a NEW XP-810 back in March. In October the scanner started putting a solid line through pages. I called support. They said they would replace it. Well, they sent me a REFURBISHED printer, not another new one. The scanner doesn't put the lines in, but the paper cartridges are looser than on my new one. The automatic feed is very sensitive. The paper has to be put in just so or it scans crooked. So not happy with the warranty. I expected another new printer. Would not recommend buying this unit.

bad deal

Bought it yesterday, returned it today. This printer looked great and I had a shot at a great deal on it. got it home, set it up did all the stuff the instructions told me to do and nothing. This thing would not pic up paper out of either tray for love nor money. So I took it back. They are going to return it to the manufacturer as damaged. It's too bad really Epson always maks such nice looking equipment. But this is not the first time I have had trouble with an Epson printer.

We purchased this printer a couple months ago. We have called numerous times and spoke with Support. We can copy documents, but are unable to print from our Mac laptop. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

XP-810

This printer prints wonderfully but it uses TWICE as much ink as my previous printer.
The price of the ink per copy is again almost double the rest in it's class. Would not recommend unless Epson brings the cost of it's ink down thus lowering the per unit cost

Three drawbacks over last Epson 3-in-1
on February 14, 2015

First, let me say I have been a Epson user for at least 10 years. My last Epson 3-in-1 was built much sturdier. This one feels cheaply made on the exterior - lower quality housing, although I do like the smaller footprint. Secondly, my last Epson came with a physical User's Manual which I highlighted a dog-eared and used regularly. I do NOT like having the only instructions for use online and feel it is a minor added expense that should be put back into the printer boxes. And lastly, this printer must be moved in order to print on a single sheet of card stock because the card stock feeder is located on the rear of the machine. As an artist, this is a major inconvenience. My last Epson printer was front feed when printing on card stock. That being said, Epson does produce high quality prints and was the reason I stayed with Epson.

Unfinished product

I have a brand new black ink cartridge but I am not able to print black and white page unless I buy the other color cartridges. In the help section it says you can print in black and white by changing the settings, but following the steps to exclude the color cartridges it always brings you to the same screen "Buy Epson Ink" The help section is not updated. My MAC doesn't show same screen as it's shown in help section.
