I was expecting an better printer to that of my previous Artisan 810. Instead it seems I got a downgraded printer. Each time I install a new ink cartridge I either have to realign, clean or perform some other type of maintenance to the printer heads. It is slow and uses more ink than the Artisan 810. In turn, the maintenance process uses up more ink, paper and TIME.

Does not work. No support.Waste of my money, my time and my effort.
The software , instruction and hardware are useless.
I deserve a complete refund. Forget about the money I wasted on ink.

Epson XP-810

I unpacked & set up my 810 this afternoon. It is working well so far, I can now print from my iPad & I phone using Apples Print command. This unit can also print on blank DVD's with the white blank labels. The only place I ran into trouble was when I put in my WIFI password . The instructions didn't explain very well how to use the keypad. when you hit the key repeatedly it does the number then the Capital ABC then the lowercase abc & if you need special characters you press the 1 button until you find the charter you want. Other than that the instructions were clear.

As usual, Epson excels in color and clarity when printing photographs and letters. The fax is easy to use. The XP-810 scans paperwork in quickly and clearly but doesn't transfer easily to a computer wirelessly. However, printing on a CD/DVD is a pain. I'm not sure if it's because I am using a Mac computer and not a Windows. Having to tell the printer that I want to print on a CD/DVD over and over again every time is ridiculous! The Artisan 725 would automatically ask how many I wanted and eject the CD/DVD drawer every time and only stop to clean the heads. With the Artisan 725, I could print one (1) CD/DVD in a little under a minute. With the XP-810 it prints fast but the time in between is spent telling the printer I want to print again triples the time.

I had a technical detail that couldn't be resolved by a very polite and knowledgeable Epson technician I called. When he couldn't resolve the problem on the phone, he opted to send me a new unit express delivery at no charge. The new unit quickly arrived and I returned the defective unit in the new carton . I am very satisfied with the service Epson provided and the new unit is working perfectly.

The printer makes good copies. The only thing I do not like is that after you make a copy the tray remains open and you have to close the tray and push the cover down

THE PRINTER WORKED GOOD THE SET UP WAS MADE MORE DIFFICULT BECAUSE THEIR IS NO DOLLAR SIGN AVAILABLE ON THE KEY PAD SO IF YOU HAVE IT AS PART OF YOUR PASSWORD YOU SHOULD CHANGE IT BEFORE YOU TRY TO CONNECT TO YOUR NETWORK.MY PREVIOUS PRINTER WAS AND EPSON AND WORKED GOOD FOR 5 YEARS AND WAS THE REASON THAT I WENT WITH EPSON AGAIN
