Epson Expression XP-810

I purchased an Epson Expression XP-810 approximately two months ago. When I loaded the ink cartridges, the unit gave me an error message of "paper hang". Epson replaced the unit but it took longer than they promised. The replacement unit worked for about two weeks until I tried to update the firmware. The unit never completed the process. The front panel indicated that the firmware was being updated, but the process never completed. There is also a warning to not turn off the unit.

Setup

Haven't used the printer yet, but the test page was sharp, colors excellent. Setup was easy. The only problem was not realizing I need two ethernet cables, since I use DSL. One five-minute call to tech support solved the problem and I'm now up and running. Even though the technician's accent was difficult to understand, I muddled through in record time.
For ease of setup, I give this product 4 1/2 stars!

Only had this 24 hours but so far not happy. I have Hallmark card studios CD that I like to use for greeting cards. Unable to do so with this XP-810. Have tried every which way and so far unable to get things working. If I don't get this cleared it is going back asap.

My new printer epson xp-810 is not only afordable but very easy to install. I have chosen a wireless connection using Mac and I really didn't have to decipher the manual to install it. All I did was to download the software and follow very simple instructions. Super easy and time saving!

I have used many inkjet printers over time and have found this one to be the best that I've ever had. It has a small footprint (size) so it fits in nicely on my desk, the speed of the copying, scanning is impressive.
The speed on this printer is great. The last inkjet I bought was extremely slow and the sheet feeder didn't work.
Overall a great inkjet printer, love it!!

Not the best!

If you like changing ink cartridges this printer is for
you. The regular size 273 inks do not have much ink
in the cartridge. When you do change cartridges you can't just open up the top scanner and go for it. No, you must start with the front panel and press buttons until the change ink command comes up. Then and only then will the ink carrier move over to the left side so can easily remove and replace the cartridge. If you enjoy waiting you might like this printer because it is slow. Have fun trying to find the CD-DVD carrier. When it gets around to printing it does a nice job though, even on photographs.

Great Printer

Bought this as a replacement for an Epson Stylus Photo R800. Very simple set up - really like the wireless connection. Very good quality printing - have printed on regular paper, glossy photo paper, premium glossy CD case inserts and printable CDs and all have looked great. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good quality home printer.

Hate it!

Would not tell anyone to buy this. If you run out of any one ink you can not do anything until you replace. You have to buy ink often even if you by the XL it still does not last long. Does not hold a lot of paper and is a pain to add paper every time.
