Have not had this printer long enough to give in depth review, but so for it exceeds my expectations. I find a lot of the negative reviews I have read were wrong. Great for quick 4x6 photos to give to family or friend's, great job printing dvd's. Find a place that gives a return program (mine was 10 day's) and try this printer. I will be keeping mine.

Only two complaints
on June 30, 2014

The printer has done everything I have asked of it very well. My two complaints are:
1. It doesn't seem to adjust its registration. Printing without a border still results in a 1/8 inch blank bar on the left edge of a letter size page.
2. To copy 1-side to 1-side it tells me I must place any sheets on the scanner bed 1 at a time to copy them. It will not allow me to feed them through the auto-feeder.

Excellent "Expressive" capacity

The Epson Expression XP-810 is the latest in a long line of Epson printers I have used for years. The last one I had was an Artisan 810. Which should tell you how long Epson printers last, seeing that Epson saw two of its products go to end-of-life before I found myself in the market for a new printer. This one did not disappoint.
Pro:
Epson clearly built this printer to stand alone and apart from any one computer on a network. Its touchpad keyboard can handle any required function, including signing on to a wireless network with any level of security. Not only can it find the "service set" and connect easily, but, once that's done, any computer on the network can find it and send a job directly to it.
The XP-810 eliminates the moving parts for printing to printable optical media. Merging the call-up of such printing functions to the touch screen was a stroke of genus.
Con:
Color balance is off. Sometimes images come out too dark. Color balance and brightness adjustments are difficult to find.

Epson 810 small-in-one

I have been using the different printers for years until I purchased the Epson. In my opinion the Epson matches anything the other printers could do. Although I do not use it very often, it has the option of double sided printing. As a retired commercial printer I also am impressed that, when using Publisher, it has the option of using the Pantone Color system.

I do enjoy the printer. But have a hard time to find Toner -XP locally wish they would let local suppliers sell the toner. The printer does use a lot of ink fast. Only bad part I can find so far. Don't know if using the XP ink will make it last longer because I must go online to buy it. Not a fan of buying my toner online.

Good but!

Prints excellent pictures. Don't like the tray that automatically goes in and out. Just another problem if it breaks. Repairs on these printers are expensive. Ink is very expensive.

GREAT FEATURES BUT DEVOURS INK
on July 8, 2014

I replaced my Epson 320R Stylus with this printer for the direct disk printing feature and was not disappointed. My main complaint is the printer uses color ink when printing even if the project has no color (I verified this with support). Removing and reinstalling cartridges when needed to save ink is very inconvenient ... so each time I print B&W I have to go into settings and select this option.
