Initial Setup

If I have ever had an easier setup, I can not remember when. With the Installation Guide, the process was flawless.

Great Little Printer

I purchased this printer for a few different reasons.
1.I had my old printer for 7 years and I updated my router so I could upgrade the security from WEP to WPA2 and this printer let me do it with no problem the old one would not.(So I could print from my wireless laptop in the living room.)
2.The photo quality is the best that I have ever had in a printer.
3.The double sided printing is a big plus for me,no more trying to figure out how to flip the paper in the paper tray.
4.The small foot print of this printer,my old one was a tank.
5.Fewer ink cartridges.
I love it.

Great printer in a small package!

I have just had my Epson Expression Premium XP-810 for a very short time, but I am already thrilled with it. The printer was very easy to set up and the time involved was minimal. I have never had a printer that was this intuitive to use. I hardly had to refer to the instructions, it was that simple. The performance is outstanding. The print speed is faster than anything that I have used previously. Very sharp clear print. Excellent color. I have not yet printed photos, but I am excited by the prospect of doing so. For the money, this is the printer to own. Thanks Epson!

This was absolutely the easiest piece of electronic equipment I have ever set up. I never had to call support. Everything worked just as it should have. The ink cartridges were so easy to install. The touch screen is fabulous and won't let you make a mistake. It's so quick and easy. I LOVE IT>

the XP-810 works as expected

Glad I purchased this printer/scanner. I have it hooked up via WiFi so that my other computers can access it for printing. It also does a very nice job printing CDs and DVDs. I've printed a couple of thousand CDs and DVDs throughout the years. I hope that the XP-810 will last as long as my Espson Stylus Photo R200 has lasted (which was many years!).

Good printer but it has it's drawbacks

On the positive side, it has excellent photo printing capability and high quality photo scanning. The downside is that you can't connect it wired via USB to one computer and wirelessly to others at the same time. A suitable work-around to connect it to a router port if you have one available. This works OK most of the time, but is subject to lost connections.
Overall, this printer's positive features outweigh the connection problems.

Setup

Following your picture diagram re: setup, I shook and inserted the BK ink cartridge only, closed the lid and got a message telling me that I either had put in an incorrect cartridge or inserted it incorrectly. Neither was true. I called tech support and the person told me that I had to insert all of the cartridges. I did, and it worked. Please, I think you need to change the directions.
Next, I tried to connect the printer to my network and enter it on my printer list (MacBook Pro OS X). ALMOST successful---FAX was recognized, but not the XP 810 printer. Annoying. I am about to call for tech support again.
