Frustrating!

The first 6 weeks of use were fine. Then I got a message that the printer would not recognize some ink cartridges. Several were nearly new, but I had to replace them (costly). Then I had strange colors being printed - did the nozzle check, several head cleanings, and realignment - this took about 3 days - until problem cleared up. Now I'm getting more crazy colors and streaks. I've done the head cleaning and nozzle check, but still have the problems. I'm ready to use my sledge hammer to fix it!!! I have had this machine only 7 months.

Thoroughly disgusted

In 11 months I'm on my third replacement printer. I've spent more on ink cartridges than the printer itself cost. It drinks ink - I don't print much, but constantly have to replace cartridges. Printer fails to recognize cartridges purchased directly from Epson. My Win-7 machine works well, but Win-8 laptop CONSTANTLY has problems accessing the printer - it shows offline on Win-8 but can still print from Win-7 box. I have 40 years computer experience, and this is the worst experience I've EVER had with a printer.

Bought this printer and after setting it up nothing in black will print, all the other colors print just fine but black ink is kind of crucial and it just doesnt work. I've read all the troubleshooting and did what they said to do but it is still not working

I bought the photo paper specified by Epson. Every time I print a photo the ink is very wet and the pictures are blurred. Very expensive - I've wasted a lot of ink and paper, and very frustrating.

Worst purchase ever

I got this printer because it has a rear feed for heavy paper. The rear feeder hardly ever works. If there is paper in the front tray, it sends the rear feed paper through blank and then prints on the paper in the bottom tray. I finally got a the rear feed to work, and half the paper was not printed properly. Also, it uses a tremendous amount of ink. The color cartridges are supposed to print 300 sheets and I am lucky to get 50. I go through the XL black cartridges weekly and don't print that many copies. I will use up the cartridges I bought and give the printer to the Salvation Army. I can't afford it. BTW, it came with an empty black cartridge and that didn't make me happy.

XP-810 PLUGGED PRINT HEAD

I bought the XP-810 Small-in-One less than a year ago. At first it was a good little printer. Then the yellow cartridge/head plugged up and can't be cleared. I bought a complete set of new cartridges and in the process of trying to clear/clean the yellow print head, I drained all of the cartridges because when a "head cleaning" is done it cleans and drains all of the ink cartridges. As a result it was necessary to purchase another printer. I'm very disappointed with the outcome.

The printer works ok. The ink c artridges are very expensive and do not last as long as I would expect. I seldom print anything in color and the ink goes down quickly. I usually print everything in black and white because most of my printing is text. I would think that the color ink would last a lot longer than the black but that does not seem to be the case.

Disappointed

I completely raved about the Epson Artisan printer and it worked great for 1 year and then we had some issues and couldn't get it fixed. I liked it so much that even after breaking so soon I went out to buy another one! It made great pictures! Much to my dismay they quit making it and replaced it with the xp-810. I bought it and had problems with it not printing clear in 2 months! Never have been able to print pictures. Just very disappointing.
