Confusing

Other than being noisy, this is not an easy printer to understand. It has a nice clear window and guides you through many of the steps and then somewhere it looses you. DON'T THROW AWYA THE MANUAL! Walk away from it for a few weeks and you will be lost when you return.
Also, it should operate wirelessly and it keeps knocking off the wireless.

Epson XP-810

Impressed at color but disappointed at ink use. I have bought cartridges and some of them "were not recognized" and they were Epson ink. Paper tray is really hard to pull out and it doesn't take legal size paper. I bought it for small size but I am not satisfied with it.

Printing photos

Prints black and white ok, but my first two color photo prints came out all smeared. Since I bought the printer primarily to print my photos, I am disappointed.

I bought the XP-810 in March 1 1/2 months later I am having to send it back and get a new one. I had trouble with this one for about 1 week and was ready to send this one back but it finally started to work right. I would not buy this one again and I'm not sure if I would buy an Ebson again. I had their Artisan and loved it but they discontinued it.

Love my new printer. Set-up was easy for me, didn't have to ask for help. Capabilities are awesome: able to print, wireless, right from my IPhone, Tablet, of course my PC, even pics from old flip-phone. Love the trays for paper, photo stock, the ease to change sizes, and the photo disc tray. Touch screen is great. So is the Quiet Mode. I love that it's user friendly, as I am not a computer geek. Have used different printers and this Epson printer is the best one I've ever owned.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson XP-810 printer

One of my printers died, the one I used to print on CD/DVD's, and I needed to replace it. I wanted another all-in-one unit so if my other printer dies, I won't be without the features I use most, scanning and copying and printing pictures. After looking at several models by different manufactures, I settled on the Epson XP-810 Small-in-one printer. Small footprint, it takes up less space than my old printer. It does it all! I don't need two printers. I can copy, scan, fax, and print on CD/DVD's with this unit. Set up was very easy. I used the USB port to connect to my computer. I printed a few pages, including pictures, and it performs like a charm, and much faster than my other printers. It is wireless capable, and I'll be using it with my laptop, also.
Media slot for SD cards and USB port right on the front for your camera. I won't need to replace my other all-in-one printer when it dies! I'm very happy with this printer, and almost wish the other one had died sooner!

The reason I would recommend the Epson XP 810 is that my husband uses it for his CD library printing his labels and I use the printer for all my Microsoft needs such as labels, envelopes and letters. This product is very user friendly.

Not working as all in one printer, scanner, copier

Purchased the printer primarily for CD printing which worked well. Scanner document feeder never worked properly not pulling in pages after 1 or 2. Had to purchase a separate scanner. Printer eventually stopped recognizing it's own cartridges which then prevented all features from functioning including scanning which doesn't use the cartridges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
