problems with XP compatibility

Printer prints beautifully... once I could get it working with my old XP desktop. Techs had to go through a long drawn out process since they said there was no software for the XP system. It was long (two hours) and exasperating with the language barrier getting it to work. I am still having problems with compatibility issues. This product was advertised as being compatible with XP... otherwise I would not have purchased it. For those with a more current system I highly recommend the printer. For those running XP, you might want to think twice.

This is my second eprinter and is a great improvement over the first one that was two years old when I was ready to rid myself of the aggravation. The HP 4630's low profile and lack of unnecessary commands makes it a breeze to use. It connected to my computer at first try and was no problem to get the eprint program up and running. Love the fact that it has two ink cartridges rather than the multiples I've had in previous printers. Could not be any happier.

I purchased this printer for use in my Motorhome although when not traveling I use it in my home office as a scanner. The features that sold me were sheet feeder, scan and copy, wireless connection and physical size. I do not need the FAX feature but it was part of the package. I spend about 6 months a year on the road and needed a versatile full feature printer/scanner in a small footprint. The ink cartridges are reasonably priced compared to my last printer. The sheet feeder clinched the sale for me as I rarely scan just one page and hate having to stand there to feed it documents. I scored overall rating at a 4 only because of slow speed for a scan or copy but it is still acceptable realizing this is a low volume All-in-One.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Printer Problems

I've ha d to reinstall software for the third time because of printer configuration problems. I have two wi fi routers with the same passphrase and printer confuses them regularly . Super frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with my purchase, most of all took advantage of the promotions. For the price this All in One printer has great features easy to use and to install. Chose this model as I work from home, and gets the job done just fine. Recommend looking into their Instant Ink option, may work for you as it's convenient and saves you on ink...they offer many plans. :)

Printer is great for light home work

This is the 2nd time I have acquired this printer. The first one I had died of old age and over use. This printer produces excellent photo and copies of any document you wish to have. I would recommend this printer to any one who is not doing more than personal home use printing.

It eats ink - when it is out of ink the faxes print blank. It will occasionally only print half a fax page. I called their help center and they tried to sell me software. Wish I had my money back.
