Terrible Leaky Product Ruined Flashlight

I have a Duracell battery that leaked in my flashlight and now it is ruined. I always thought Duracell was a premium quality product and am extremely disappointed. It seems like this is an issue for a lot of people that have bought Duracell products. I certainly would not recommend them to anyone.

Used to only buy Duracell batteries. I have ask my wife who buys not to buy anymore. So far I have lost an expensive Nikon Flash, Toys, Remotes due to leaking acid from Duracell batteries. They can explain all they want but their batteries used to be notorious for not leaking. No longer is it a good reliable product.

Keep damaging my remotes

I am finding an increasing number of leaking batteries. They have a date at least 2 years in the future. I have started taking photos for proof. I intend to send them to Consumer Reports and the BBB. It is hard to believe that these used to be one of the best brands. Now I am taking them out of unused devices and storing them in plastic bags. There is no way I can use them for disaster preparations. I am starting to use only NIMH rechargeable batteries for all but the cheapest devices.

Whole packages leaking

We buy these in bulk for hurricane supplies and communications gear. Upon rotating several packages purchased last year, we found that most packages were leaking. These had a DEC 2023 date on them. Will not make the same mistake in purchasing this year!
