Faster than a cat in the middle of a six lane.

I bought the JB850SFSS MODEL ON 11/24/13 in hopes of cooking a very large Thanksgiving meal and boy did I cook.At one time I had two pies and two skillets of corn bread cooking in the ovens.I was blown away with how quick the ovens get to the desired heat setting and it is most helpful that the stove displays the ovens temperature as it is heating.The quick heat recovery rate of the ovens allowed me to keep the ovens full as I cooked the turkey,ham,cakes,sweet potatoes and dressing. Most of these foods require different temperatures to cook and the ovens handled the up and down changes flawlessly.
While baking I had at times all four stove top burners cooking away.again,I am impressed with how quick the burners get hot and maintain heat settings.I strongly suggest you follow the directions on the correct shaped pots and pans to use on the burners and you will be amazed how quick that water will boil.
I do not like the lip around the cooking surface because it makes it hard to clean the stovetop.
I hate the fact that an electrical cord does not come with the stove and your required to purchase it .
To sum it up,this stove gets hotter faster than a cat on a six lane highway during rush hour trying to cover up his [deleted].

Great Product

I love my GE double oven. It cooks very well. Only thing is if you spill something on the cooktop it burns quickly and is hard to clean if you let it sit. so you need to clean the spill ASAP. Also top oven rack is hard to pull out if the rack is on the bottom. Other than that great stove!

Love the double oven!

I replaced my 13-year-old double oven with this one, and so far, so good! This is a very attractive design - I like that it has stainless steel, but not so much that it is hard to keep clean. I like that the timer dings when there is a minute left to go. My old oven had two timers (so that I could time what was baking in each oven) - I miss that. Also, unlike this oven, my old oven would indicate exactly which burner was still hot, not just that at least one of the burners is still hot. Also, the top oven in my old unit could also function as a toaster (great for making garlic bread, etc.) - I really miss that. Finally, when my kids were younger, I would always use the back burners (to avoid potential little hands getting burned) and it was really useful to have both a large and a small burner in the back. This new stove only has small burners in the back (which is OK for me now because my kids are teenagers). The buttons on this new oven are classy (no chicken nugget or pizza buttons, thank goodness!!) - thank you. I LOVE the stainless steel knobs. They are solid and modern. Overall, the oven works as it should, and it looks good doing it!

Replaced my Maytag Gemini with this one. Love having two ovens. The Slate is really pretty. Much better than Stainless. Also more burners. It's just Great. Love it.

EXCEPTIONAL COLOR

I purchased this double oven stove along with the slate refrigerator and microwave. This oven looks much higher end than the price would suggest. Living in Phoenix, I love the fact that I can heat just the small oven for something like a pizza or baked potato. The unit really has a sturdy and rich feel to it. It was easy to learn to operate. The combination of the 3 new appliances totally transformed my kitchen. After going back and forth about choosing this color or the stainless steel, I can assure you this was the correct choice. It is perfect with my granite, wall color and tile. I feel like I have a new kitchen!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cooktop heats SO fast!

The power boil is truly powerful and fast. The top oven is great to use when you have a tray of appetizers because it heats really fast too. Also, I love the slate color - no fingerprints like lighter stainless.
