Works great but very noisy.

We purchased a pair of 5680 washer and dryer in the Graphit Steel color and they work great. All the bells and whistles are a nice feature and I swear our clothes feel softer now than they ever have. The only downfall to the dryer is it makes a rather loud and squeeky noise for a few minutes after starting each time. We have a rolled up towel between the dryer and the wall to support the side of the dryer to prevent it from squeeking.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings

Good Dryer

Machine is easy to use and does a pretty good job. I have had this machine only a few weeks and am still getting to know it and all of it's features. I did switch the door with out any problems.

Great washer

Had this washer for two months and am very happy with the purchase. This washer is virtually silent when in use and cleans very well. Large size has reduced the amount of loads we have to do.
Be sure to read all the specs for use initially, as it's a bit more complicated to get the hang of compared to a standard manual washer. We keep the user manual in the laundry room for occasional reference and special washes.
Only had the machine get unbalanced once and had to restart cycle following the directions.

The Old Dryer Croaked

So far so good with the LG. The auto settings don't get the clothes completely dry. I can't change the heat and time settings on all of the cycles. I like the touch screen concept. I wish the instructions were more simple. I think there is something I'm not "getting" about the steam function. The cotton knit item I put in to steam out some wrinkles just spun around and the wrinkles remained unchanged. I like the notificaton tones because I can hear them from another room even with a hearing loss.

This dryer does a great job. My clothes are always dry, but never do I feel like they have been "scorched". I haven't tried the steam setting yet, but that seems like a neat feature.

I'm disappointed that I spent the money to have the sensor dry options only to have my clothes still wet when done. According to the manufacturer tutorial if you have small loads or baby clothes you need to use the timed dry but when I use the sensor dry for towels or my husband's work clothes they still come out damp and have to finish with a timed dry. Again could have bought a bare bones dryer if I need to use timed dry for everything
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
