Too many problems already!

We did a lot of research before deciding to purchase this range. The induction top has been awesome to cook with and easy to clean! The oven has had an electrical burning smell since we first installed it. We have had service techs out twice and still don't know what the problem is. We've been told it's the knew burning off. Hard to believe since it's almost a year old, now they're unsure. On top of this issue now there's a problem with the lights not going off on the cooktop controls. They are going to replace the parts to fix this.
Overall we love the range and would give it 5 stars if it didn't have so many problems. Very disappointed and worry about expensive future repairs. Still wondering and hoping that ours is just a "lemon" and no one else will have these problems.

A chefs dream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a trained chef I've loved gas stoves forever. This stove blows a gas stove out of water! Instant temperature adjustments, lots of power heats a full 8 quarts of room temp to a rolling in less than 8 minutes! The burner lay out is very well placed to allow for a range of pan sizes/a cook top full of pans, imo. The oven is amazing as well, the quick heat feature rocks and again within minutes has a cold oven up to temp. The large fan really moves a lot of air when using the convection bake. Food cooks very evenly/browns nicely. The warming drawer could be a bit more solid but it slides nicely, holds place settings for 6 nicely and doesn't seem to get overly hot. (you can still pick out a plate with your bare hands, it's warm not hot, perfect! I can't say enough good things about this stove, get it, you will love it. Oh the oven also doesn't loose much heat out into the room, I can run it at 350 for 6 hours and my kitchen only goes up a degree or two vs my old oven that had me opening windows in January trying to cool the house off (I have a large house so lots of heat loss)

The induction range works perfectly. Water boils very quickly with the power boost mode and changes to the temperature settings take effect immediately.

Amazing Range

We love our new Frigidaire Gallery 30'' Freestanding Induction Range. The induction cooktop heats extremely fast and cleans up with ease. The convection/bake oven reduces cook time by about 10 minutes per hour as compared to a regular oven. The range is extremely easy to use. As if that is not enough, it looks simply beautiful in the kitchen! We recommend this range to anyone and everyone!

My only complaint about this range is the cheaply made storage drawer. It is very flimsy and difficult to get back in once you pull it out to retrieve a pan. Also the suggested cleaning product is not included that is recommended to use prior to cooking for the first time. I thought most of my pans would work but unfortunately they are not magnetic as I hoped. But overall speed is worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the PB setting to quickly boil water and the convenience of the convect/convert feature. The storage drawer is smaller than my last range so all my baking pans will not fit. My biggest complaint is the solid black glass top shows every smudge, dust, crumb, water spot, etc. Constantly cleaning it.

I love cooking. I had a restaurant and also catered. Cooking is what I do for enjoyment and I do a lot of it.
Let me preface the following with the fact that I had never heard of induction cooking before looking for a new range. I was told that it was the latest thing and would be great for a serious cook. I had really wanted gas, but I am glad now that I took the chance on this range.
I got this range about 3 months ago, when the range that I had for 14 years broke and could not be fixed. So far, there is nothing that I don't like about it.
The cooktop heats up incredibly fast and with the .5 increments from 0 to 10 is very easy to control. After getting used to it, I am beginning to know exactly what setting to use when cooking things that I cook frequently. I just have to watch myself because it heats up so fast that I don't need to walk away for long while waiting.
I am very careful with the ceramic cooktop so that it will not get scratched. It is not that hard though. Because, other than underneath whatever you are cooking, the surface doesn't get hot, I don't have any bad cleanups. I use a sponge that I have dedicated to the cooktop and water and a microfiber cloth to do about 90% of my cleanups. If I have a spot that is stubborn, I use the cleaner that came with the range. it works great. I also keep a cloth on top of the cooktop when not in use, so that I can place things on it without worries.
The oven work wonderful. My favorite feature is the meat thermometer. I was skeptical as to whether or not it would work. It works great! I have used it about 7 or 8 times and large cuts of meat come out perfect.
I like the 7 rack positions. I had convection on my last range and never used it because it didn't work well. The convection function works great. The quick preheat works. The control panel does not take long to learn how to use.
The only thing that is not wonderful is that the oven racks are not as heavy duty as I would like and the glide out feature is not something that I am using. The rack that works with the glide out has a bracket at the back of it that interferes with how close you can put another rack under it.
Not a beg problem.
All in all, I love this range. I did have to replace some cookware. Take a magnet with you when you are shopping for new cookware!! There is a large variety of cookware out there to choose from and some very reasonable prices, if you do some research.

I bought this in Jan and have had a few problems with it, which is why I only rated it 4 stars. We have had to replace the computer but since then it works great. Boils very fast with small pot. Oven is great!
