This is a great microwave with tons of features. The Slim Fry works as advertised but does have a lot of different shelves at different heights that must be used to achieve the correct crispiness for different foods. The defrost works flawlessly. Installation was also very easy with the included template, took less than 20 minutes but you will need two people to lift the unit onto the bracket.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This microwave is hard to operate and does not perform as expected. I do not like the rotating knob dial as it is hard to understand and use. Also I feel it is not the latest technology as now everything should be push buttons. The toaster function in the convection oven does not produce acceptable toast. Also it is hard to remember which racks need to be used for the various cooking methods. I am disappointed in this microwave and wish I could get a different model from Samsung, who normally has outstanding products.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi PSLF,
I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with your Convection Microwave. While most Samsung Microwaves do use exclusively push buttons, the dial knob on this model enables better control of its various functions. For the best toasting results, be sure to use the high rack and select Speed Cook option 7. Since most recipes include the recommended accessory, you don't need to memorize which rack to use for which function if you keep the manual handy.

So far I love this oven it browns foods very nicely. I have mostly used the SLIMFRY (it works as advertised), speedcook, autocook and microwave functions. Why this item is now discontinued is a mystery. I knew it was dicontinued before I bought it but there is no other OTR microwave on the market with more bang for the buck.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, quick, easy

Great Speed Oven for the Price

I'm very happy with this oven. I purchased the older model on sale and love it. Roasts a 6 lb chicken in an hour and the results are juicy with a beautifull crisp skin. Convection bake works great and is a little faster than a regular non-convection oven but without heating up the kitchen as much.
Overall it is a good value for a 110V speed type oven. Performance is comparable to the 110 V Advantium without the sticker shock. I've only had mine a month so reliability remains to be seen.
My only cmplaint is the User's Manual/Cookbook is abysmal. The instructions are complicated and confusing. I re-wrote instructions for my family after I did several trial and error tests. LOL
Pros: Inexpensive, love the combi oven feature.
Cons: horrible users manual-cookbook

I love the quick dial setting, just turn the dial to the time desired and push start! Awesome. The convection oven will come in handy this Thanksgiving.
