I never realized how easy it would be to packagymy meats, veggies to put in the freezer. Takes just a few seconds to seal and takes air out as well. Great purchase.

I bought 2 of the fm2000 got home plugged both of them up and neither of them worked

FRUSTRATED CONSUMER!

I have used a FoodSaver brand vacuum sealer for years with wonderful results. Used it so frequently I finally wore it out, so naturally I replaced it with another FoodSaver vacuum sealer (FM2000). It worked fine for the first two weeks, then it quit vacuuming sealing. Thinking it had to be a misfortunate fluke.... I purchased another. One week later, it too, has stopped vacuum sealing. The new machines are JUNK! Don't waste your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Disappointment

I gave myself this as a Christmas gift. It stayed in the box until last month. The first use was great! I attempted to use it this morning and it was a total bust! The sealer did not remove any air from the bag! All directions were followed to the letter. (I even used a ruled to ensure there was 4 in at each end and did not overfill.) Thankfully I had traditional freezer bags on hand! Now I'm stuck with a non-functioning machine. This is totally unacceptable! This is not a cheap purchase/gift and to have it work only one time is horrible. I wish that I had read these reviews before purchasing.

I just purchased a week ago, and I’m in love. Easy to use, easy to store.
Not only does the frozen food look, and taste better it has helped save space in the freezer!!

We are now on our 5th Food Saver because it is the only way to go. We use it for all of our large purchases.
We are on our 5th because we ware them out and they keep getting better. We thought we wanted to get a professional version but when reviewing this latest model we found it handle everything we needed. I really like the fact that his model is so compact. It can sit on my counter so easily.
My sister also got one because she saw how well ours worked,
I would recommend this to a friend!

product is poorly made compared to other products. i've had the foodsaver products for over 10 years and recently purchased my 3rd. I settled for a smaller less expensive product and got what i paid for. i will return this and re-purchase the same one i had. I otherwise love this product. just not happy with the v2244
