Good for what we need

recently purchased FM2000, in trail and error, I figured out bag positioning and it vac and sealed excellent! I had a question, got chat support from customer service and am very pleased with product and support

We replaced a 12-15 year old FoodSaver which we loved, but finally died. Surprised to discover the huge price increase over the years, but decided to buy one anyway as it allows us to buy food in quantity at bulk prices and save it for long periods.
The new machine works well, just as advertised. We really like the new feature allowing you to vacuum seal items in plastic containers.
One thing I would do differently if purchasing again: I would pay extra for the unit allowing you to store the bag roll in the device. Our old one had it, but we were put off by the price differential of the new one. It's a bit clumsy having to cut, seal, and fill without that feature - hence the 4 star rating. Other than that we remain big fans of the FoodSaver brand.

We had our old food savor for many many years and this one is even better. Being able to seal a bag without the vacuum is great. The cleanable tray is also a wonderful improvement. Very happy with this purchase.

The unit has problems vacuuming the air out of the bags before sealing. Can be frustrating and difficult to use. Pretty great when it does work though

We are a two person household & most foods are not

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a two person household and most foods are not sold in that manner. The food saver stops me from throwing out so much freezer burned food. I love it I use it at least twice a week.
