Best mini streamer ever.

I bought this a month ago, and it completely worked with my OLD CRT TV. The remote was simple and responsive. The connection was UNBELIEVABLE! It was catches up on Live Tv! A couple days ago I also got a 22" HDTV and pitched my CRT and it was a lot clear! But a couple days after I bought the Roku, it started to go to the home screen by itself after 4-6 hours. But I am not annoyed with that. Anyone help??

Easy to use and a lot of content available

I bought ROKU I players for parents and myself at Christmas. I am pleased with the number of channels available. The search feature that searches across the channels is great. The only thing I noticed that could be improved is the number of selection listed in each category. The maximum seems to be 50. I bought a streaming device from another manufacturer that would list 75. It would be nice if the number in the category could be tailored.

Makes my TV into a SmartTV

Got a great price ($50US) for the Roku 1 which is all I really need. Easy to install, works perfectly - most of the time. Had a small glitch (Netflix would load but not play a selection). Solution (via Roku phone support) was to remove and re-install Netflix app. One issue I've encountered with other apps (le.g., A&E) is that they required unlocking certain programs through your cable provider - Uverse in my case - and Uverse is not shown when you try to unlock on the A&E website (and others as well). No obvious work-around.

I purchases this a month ago and have been quite happy with it. I quickly hooked up the Roku box and "cut my cable cord." I gladly recommend this product to anyone.

Hubby did not think he would even like the Roku, really razzing me when I ordered it about a year ago. Now he is promoting getting on for the bedroom since we use it all the time.. Love this machine, tons of viewing options..
