About 8 months ago, I was searching for an alternative to cable. Then found Roku. I figured would start off with the Roku 1. I LOVE it. I am going to buy Roku 3 soon. So many channels to choose from. I stream my Netflix, Amazon Prime Streaming, etc. Recently there was an update, and M-GO was added! I was gven even MORE movies to choose from. I will never go back to cable again. Thank you, Roku!

We've had our Roku for over 3 years now, and can't complain about a single thing. It streams very well on our FiOS connection. Some channels are spottier than others, but Netflix is perfect. Don't forget that hard reboot ever week or so-- really helps with "issues". Highly recommend.

I ordered the Roku LT, but received the Roku 1 instead. I have yet to see the 1000+ channels that are promised on the web site! Was very easy to set up.
Little to no live channels.

I love my Rocu

I wish I could have gave this a 4.5 star rating. I have a Netflix account and use it to watch Netflix on my large screen TV instead of a little computer screen. I also stream movies from my computer with Plex (both apps are free with Rocu). If they added a way to watch Youtube videos with Ruco I would rate it at 5 stars (maybe a 6) LOL.

Fewer Features But Not a Big Deal for Me

I bought this a month ago to replace Chromecast gift from Christmas which would not work with my ASUS router. After spending full day on Amazon Chromecast I gave up and bought the ROKU 1. Set up was a breeze and it worked right away. I found all the features I needed on this ROKU model compared to the other models. Added features are OK for other models but really don't need them. Big plus was that price was about the same as Chromecast.

Why I got the Roku1: I got a Roku2 for the guest room (due to the headphone jack on the remote) also sometimes my wife and/or I hide out in the guest room to catch a movie with peace and quiet)) and was so happy with it that I bought a $99 19" Insignia TV from best buy (awesome deal BTW) and bought a Roku1 to hook up to it to use in the workshop.
This Roku1 is really something and then there is the price, which is also incredible. So now I can be in my workshop and listen to Pandora with the Roku1, watch Netflix, listen to Amazon MP3, listen to Radio Paradise, watch a free movie on crackle, check the weather, see news, watch a movie on Amazon Prime and the list goes on and on. So why am I a Roku-aholic; ANSWER: I have one in every room that has a TV and even bought a TV to go with a Roku...
