i had some previous exp with online streaming but the ease of operationson this device was like wow!!!!!!1 i had a stroke in 20008 that left me a little befuddleedbut this device keeeps tract of where you are wher you were an ho t get bac ther which is excellent for people likeme suffers from ocassional brain farttruly a magnificent devis so glad i own no you cant have get your own

I like it only thing is that is freezes something where i have to unplug from wall plug it back in and it could have more channels choices

I bought Roku 1 because it is the cheapest from all the competitors, and also because the TV I have at my beach house is an old TV. I use Roku1 to stream SlingTV, which works fine. I tried to use Spotify on my Roku1 and had a really bad experience. It's frustrating to try to find something, it only shows you one playlist, hard to navigate, hard to search for a music. Every letter you type it gives you a warning saying it can't find what you are searching, even though you are not finished typing. It is a really old Spotfy version and need upgrade ASAP.
Also the Roku menu is outdated and weird to navigate. It could have a better and cleaner design, the simpler you go the better. Like the setup screen. Too dark.
It crashes sometimes, but I'm not sure if it's Roku's fault or my wi-fi fault. One more thing, the remote. I know it's supposed to be easier then an apple's TV remote, but I still think it has too many buttons you don't need.
If you don't need or use a lot of your player and don't want to spend money on it, I would say buy a Roku, but maybe the latest version. Not the stick, it didn't work well.
