Bought it back in November and gave up dish in December. No need to pay for dish with my roku! I love it, the kids love it! I really love how much I have saved with owning it! Kick the cable and satellite people switch to roku!!!!!!!

The only thing unfavorable, is the constant "SUGGESTION'S" because you watched?...Give an option to turn it off! Everything else is GREAT!

Bare bones model. Performs as expected for the intended purpose. Initially had an issue connecting to Netflix. Reason was app was outdated and required being replaced with updated app. Call to Netflix Cust Svc helped work through easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What can I say, Roku is simply the best. Ease of hook-up, use, and longevity make it worth every dime, offering every available app a person could want to watch. They also offer options for households - like mine - that contain old tv's. No USB stick is going to work on my little old 13 in. tv I keep in my office, but Roku 1 does the trick.
We bought the very first Roku the first week they came out and the technology kept pace until this year. (2016) We have three different models in our house and I've bought Roku 3 as presents which the recipients raved about.
Roku just has it all!

Doesn't list or represent that it does have certain features like other updated devices. For example; Netflix and Sling auto play. It also doesn't have the ability to mirror cast. Small things like that are important to mention to a consumer because if Roku 1 does have it and Roku 3 does, take a guess to which they would prefer.
