I bought this one few days ago and "jackpot" disappointed doesn't support youtube ( my favorite channel), not fair for people who cant pay for the most expensive one

After reviewing your product online I finally went out with enthusiasm to make the purchase. After making all the necessary connections and setting my account, I was all set...... only to realize that everything that was advertised as free {eg netflix,vudu,crackle} was not, I actually had to have an account fo rservices.....ok I did that, only to have one week service from the unit......every time I tried using unit the message was that it was not connecting to our wifi unit, which was only 5 feet away.....after trying for 2 weeks to my get the product to work,[ the online service did not help.....I did everything it said needs to be done, i even tried to information on youtube]...I finally returned the unit dejected.......so I guess I will be sticking to my cable subscription.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It gives me the same channels I'm getting with my cable. Although, with every turn it seems like I have to pay another fee to get access to some of the channels they are talking about. I don't get it.

A little disappointed

As a person who had a smart TV to start with and has Hulu and Netflix this device did not offer much in the way of quality. Sure there are a lot of channels but most are virtually identical to each other. The channels I was most excited to watch required subscriptions to a cable network which is what I didn't want to start with. Honestly I've had it for a month and maybe had it plugged in for two hours. Not worth it but it was my mistake and they got my money so who cares.

We didn't realize that to be able to watch anything new or even just good, we would have to pay for either a monthly subscription or rent each title. it was going to still cost a lot of money

I've had it for one year and already had to buy two remotes they stop working and they are made cheap also.

We have to unplug it every time we use it, then have it re-boot. We have only had it one month, and have never had it work without un-plugging it, then plugging it back in, then waiting 5-10 minutes for Roku to re-boot.

I got this for Christmas. And it does what it is supposed to do, most of the time. Pros - lots of channels, easy to use. Cons - weak receiver. I had to move my Internet modem into the same room with it to get it to work properly. All my other WiFi products will work just fine out in the yard or at the neghbors so it's not a weak WiFi signal. There is no on/off switch. It stays on all the time and gets very hot. Also, you have to be rite on top of it to get the remote control to work.
I would recommend this to a friend!
