My Lil Life Saver

After spending a difficult hospital stay and finally being able to going home, my daughter gifted me with a Roku!
As a newly divorced woman on a fixed income, and I couldn't afford the expensive cable services, but it wasn't healthy for me not to have contact with what was going on in the world either!

Does not work with Netflix

You have to delete Netflix and re-add it every time you want to see anything on Netflix other than classical movies. It is only good for one access. if you go to the Roku home page, you cannot connect to Netflix again until you delete Netflix and re-add it

Cut your ties with cable!

Bought this to see if discontinuing my cable was eve an option. Success. User friendly, lots of channel options, great for the purse. Love it so much, have bought 3 since, including one for my elderly parents who love theirs as well.

Made my old TV useful again

We have a super old TV in our bedroom that doesn't have HDMI capabilities. When we got rid of cable, it just sat there gathering dust for years. The Roku 1 has made it possible for me to enjoy shows on my old TV again!
