the only area i found lacking is tit ia not that easy to stream from, computer to TV. i do not want a full service streaming server with access to the entire world. a simple scheme to connect my computer to Plex and Playon TV are overly complicated and they keep marketing me to buy programming and other bells and whistles from them and others that they providers. Currently I am using a and old version of Mymedia (stand alone). i keep getting a nag screen that i need to up grade. I tried the server soft ware crashed. also tried Plex. all i want to do is open a window on my TV, select the app, select the location and content on my Desk top and play it form the TV, nothing more. I also have a smart TV that cannot stream anything.

Have had this roku about a month and like it so far. I like being able to choose the shows I want to watch, at the time I want to watch and it being free. We dropped cable a couple years ago to save money and now we have roku. Our biggest disappointment so far, is the lack of full running news channels. Most of the news channels just run snippets of their programming.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My husband and I were trying to cut expenses, so we ditched the cable. We still wanted to watch TV so we looked into the roku equipment. We brought one, and gave it a shot. We've been so happy with the ease of operation and variety of shows on it, we brought another one! Once it's set up our 6 year old can operate it! Now the kids can watch TV without having to wait for a certain time frame for age appropriate shows to come on. What made this a plus is we can add as much as we like to it and CONTROL what we want to watch and pay for. We'll never go back to paying cable tv again!

I originally bought this for my small human to steam in there rooms. Its small so i l could hide it without my toddlers destroying it! But once it was set up and i played with it. I found out how Amazing it really is. Favorite feature about its the app for my phone or tablet!!: I feel so high tech now! I own 3 roku. They replaced my wii an xbox and stupid cable. With netflix and vudu avaliable in every room make this mamas life a tad bit easier. Thank you roku ur guys are the coolest!
P.s. i think its so great. Ive turned all my family over to the roku as well!! We all love it

Love that you can use the Roku on any TV.

You can move the Roku to any TV older or newer style. It is really easy to use and you get channels free that you would have to pay for on satellite or cable

This review is really on Roku SE. It works very will. Just and fast as the Roku 3 we have, but some of the app such and Netflix can not be updated to new app which is really frustrating. Its cheaper but I think it worth the money to get the Roku 3 which is awesome.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second ROKU! I love it. I am 75 and installed it myself. It is the best thing ever! I use it every day. I do not want to ever be without a ROKU. What a value for the price!
