So far I've only used it for Pandora. I really like being able to choose the songs I like to hear.

Still not using

I've had difficulty getting it "hooked up" and operating..... I have it and am paying the subscription but not using- selections to get it activated have proven difficult and not very user friendly - selections I've made want me to pay to view and I was told and thought I could view a lot free....

So glad we came across this. We still have old school tvs in our home. So we needed away to access all the last streaming sites on our tv so this is perfect. I wish the search wasn't so old school using the arrows to choose letters, but no big deal. I actually download the Roku app on my phone to use my phone as a keyboard, but it doesn't always work. Overall i'm very happy!

Freezes often

I have an older TV and this is the only roku that adapts that I am aware of. It uses the video game ports on my 12 year old TV. I have the roku 3 on another TV. The roku 1 responds slowly to the remote and the picture freezes fairly often. I can't get anything to respond so I disconnect the power source. When it happens i have to stop watching TV for the evening because it takes so long to reset. I have no idea why. If you are planning on buying a new TV within the next year forget the roku 1 and go buy a Roku TV now. It will be less expensive in the long run and the viewing experience will be a bit more pleasant. I am glad to have the Roku 1 because it is the only way I could stream to my 3rd floor walk-up loft favorite TV spot. The TV is old but works perfectly and i cannot throw out something that still has perfect use. That and no one will take it.
