I have also the plug in Roku that does not have wires and that one works great but this one does not have a far range for the remote and if the slightest dust mote is in the way it does not work. Not enough local choices either. Will try google chrome or apple next.

Perfect Solution

I recently had to downsize not only my living space but my lifestyle...meaning cutting that old Cable bill. To have a TV is a second room without a cable box this Roku was the perfect solution. It is an older TV - one of the big ones! The roku allows me to watch TV, movies etc without the added cost - works great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked until power outage.

I purchased the ROKU about six months ago. The setup was easy and initially it worked pretty good. But, we had a power outage during a thunderstorm and it never worked again. It couldn't even find my wireless network. I unplugged and reset it numerous times to no avail. I even spent of few hours online searching for a resolution. I found several people with the same problem, but no one had a fix. All of my other wireless devices reconnected with no hassle. I'm a pretty computer savvy person, so I was confident I could fix the problem. No dice. After two weeks of trying this thing went right into the trash where it belongs. Never again!

Very Unhappy with my Roku!

This will work on some sights but on others even though I have a very good internet speed, it just isn't up to the standards that I had been told about. My MLBTV is just a mess.

Does not work out of USA.
Chromecast and Apple TV work fine with Netflix, Crackle and others but Roku 1 is a dead brick. No warning before buying.. A waste of monee, in my case
