EZ for a slow learner.

I purchased a Roku 1, and find it EZ to operate with the remote. I am still struggling adding different stations like PBS and HGTV...but am not giving up....of course I like the FREE ones.

I bought this a couple of months ago and I LOVE IT! I have had no problems with it. There is a lot of apps on it and with some other subscriptions its perfect for me. I will never pay for cable television again!

Bought this six weeks ago and have used seldom. Much effort to find the stations and then to make sure you are not being charged for the service. OK for a back up to cable but certainly not my "go to" choice for home entertainment. May get better over time as I use it more. Right now I do not recommend.

Excellent Alternative or supplement to CAB or SAT

I have a Roku 1 player. It's super easy to set up with your TV and adds hundreds of channels to your existing lineup. Although there are many choices for pay per view or pay per month viewing, there are hundreds of free channels available. Not only is the Roku box a great choice for your main viewing room, it's a great option for another room where you might not have a cable or satellite receiver. As long as there is a WiFi connection, you can stream channels directly to the TVs HDMI input. In many cases if you subscribe to a premium channel on your cable or satellite service , your login and password can be used with your Roku box. For example, I subscribe to HBO on my cable service and my password works for HBO GO on my Roku box. I'm going to get another for the guest room and the game room. The broadcast quality is great! The choices are plentiful and It's easy to setup and use! If you like TV, you'll love your Roku box!

Not what I expected

I expected this Roku to give me a great streaming and it dosent always messes up and you have to point remote directly at player to turn. It's not as fast. Like that it's smaller but not fast as others. And all apps don't work on it. But when ever I get the money I will be getting three better models of Roku.
