you get to watch a lot of stuff...although there are some programs on TV that you cannot watch until next season because you need a cable account through someone..others wise I love having Roku!!!!

Saving me dollars and frustration with cable tv

I bought this after I reduced my tv cable input to the cheapest possible package-- after my rates went up to a point that I just could not justify the expense. I am so pleased with my Roku!!!!

Cable and satellite made the television picture viewable anywhere (versus the rabbit ears inconvenience ) and introduced a wide variety of viewing options. However, the price grew astronomically over a very short period of time. Corporate greed created contracts, affordable customer choices decreased sharply, and customer service became a forgotten entity. Truthfully, I don't know anyone who watches 900 channels! I started searching for options after I simply got fed up with my ever-increasing television bill. There are only a small handful of channels and networks I enjoy and watch repeatedly. So why do I have to PAY for what I don't want to see???? Thanks to ROKU, I now can do just that. I PICK the channels and networks I want to see everyday! I CAN CHANGE my viewing options as often as I wish! No matter the weather outside, my picture shows true and clear (take that dish lovers)! If I need help, the ROKU help desk is kind, considerate, and patient! I'm enjoying television again FOR A WHOLE LOT LESS!!!

It was so good, that I bought three of them, 2 of the roku1, and the roku stick, I like the roku stick more, cause it's more discreet, and hidden, and I love the mirror feature.
