I decided to get a new streaming device because the one built into my blu ray player was lacking and would lock up when trying to play vudu movies. I got this one because of the price and I wasn't expected much but for a small device it packs real quality and feature's and has an app. It's a great buy for the budget conscious folks.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It is not quite what I expected. We also stream through our wii which is great but the roku has to reload alot and you have to have a tv subscription for some apps but for hulu and Netflix it does ok.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the Roku 1 because of rising cable rates and I could no longer pay that much. I had no problem installing the roku and it has worked great. I am a senior citizen and if I had no problems, anyone could install it. I did have a little problem figuring out how the different software applications work that comes with the roku, but I did figure it out. After using it for over a month, I am glad that I bought it.
