I absolutely love my Roku. I was a little hesitant at first, especially since the people who were working in the electronics department didn't know much about it. And then when I got it home and started setting it up the instructions were saying something about payment information for monthly payments, but it turns out that that is for certain channel subscriptions and NOT for paying a monthly fee to use the Roku. Once you buy it at the store, it is free. The only cost after that is for whatever you sign up for, like Hulu or Netflix. Oh, and I would suggest ordering movies from Google Play at least one day before watching them or it will buffer all the way through. However it is absolutely wonderful to not be squinting at my laptop screen anymore. Plus more people can watch at the same time.

I have had the player for over a month and it is the best purchase I have made in quite a while. I can watch what I want when I want. Great!

Love the many channel options

I love that there are so many channel options and the cute little remotes that come with the player. I don't like that I'm unable to switch profiles on Netflix.

Easy to install

My TV is a Vizio pre-smart model so I bought the Roku 1. it was very simple to connect and activated smoothly. I haven't had a problem connecting with the wifi. I've been very happy with it.

Okay, but a lot is repetitive titles and will show episodes but will only be "clips" and not full episodes, which makes them useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
