The thrill is gone

It works when it wants to - impossible to watch anything on it because it buffers every 20 seconds. I had it for about a month but have pretty much abandoned it because of the buffering problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is my second roku i also have a roku stick the roku stick is a little faster but the roku 1 is just as good to me the reason i purchased the roku 1 is that it also hooks up to older model tvs it will still hook up to new models with hdmi hd cable i no longer need any other tv service and am saving a ton of money by not paying sat. service for a bunch of channels i did not even use........

I bought this product probably a couple of months ago to supplement my cable and so that my grandkids would be able to watch their favorite cartoons. Setting up and registering seemed like a bore, probably because I was so anxious. One of the things I absolutely love is that I can unplug from one tv and plug into another, no problem!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not very pleased with the Roku. Tends to freeze up and is very slow. I could have spent my $50 elsewhere...
