I bought this about a month ago for my bedroom. When setting it up, we had to go back to the store to purchase another cord. The sensor to the remote is very fickle. Sometimes on fast forward and rewind it is hard to get it to stop. You have to point the remote square at the sensor and there had better not be anything even remotely in between the two. Because of the nature of the remote and sensor, I have only watched Netfilx and Prime. It takes too much time to browse the others so I cannot really comment on content. If a need for this type of product arose in the future, I would probably go with a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It doesn't stream all the channels from time warner as well on occasion you would lose signal but hit ok twice and it starts right up. Not sure what the problem is.

I have a large old school t.v. With the Roku I was able to connect to the wifi and watch Netflix with out having to upgrade T.V.'s. I am very satisfied with this product and have recommended it to others. This was very easy to set up. Easier than I expected.

We bought this Roku 1 about a month or two ago and it has so far been a decent device. I just wish it had a web browser as decent for streaming content online.

Only g and pg13 movies are accessible. Limits possibility of search for R movies. Security code not an option to bypass to search for R movies.

I brought my roku about a month ago and I love it. I can watch whatever I want and also listen to Pandora while I'm cleaning. I couldn't have made a better decision.
