I have had my Roku 1 for about a year, and I love it! I no longer have cable, and only watch television through my Roku. In my opinion as good as Apple TV if not better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

bought 1st roku sept 2013 now have 4 hooked up in the house. excellent way to cut the satellite and cable bills to $0.00.

This is my second Roku, my first would not connect , frequent failures. I returned it and got replacement. I works better but I do have to do frequent rebooting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my Roku 1 for about 3 months and love the freedom from stuff I don't want to see. The player is easy to use (even for a senior citizen!).

Great Features in a small device

I purchased my Roku 1 on december 2013. I am a cable owner but got tired of missing my shows since I work shifts. As soon as I received my device I was able to stream in full HD my favorite shows and movies, without hazzles. Plus, since my TV is a little bit away from the main cable modem, I was annoyed by the coaxial cable running across the wall. As soon as i cut the cord, my living room now looks more neat with no wiry messes around. Furthermore, I had to move temporarily to the tropics and took my Roku with me. Guess what, I am still able to view my favorite shows from home since I have local Wifi, available :) what a perfect device. Shall make focus on portability so that you can carry your tv shows and movies with you, literally.

living in the desert and no cable tv, this is my source of TV. I bought it to replace a bluray player that had Netflix. The Netflix player needs to be updated, currently there is no profile selector and it doesn't auto play next episode. Also, I don't like the fact that I can't turn it off without unplugging it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
