I bought this a month ago and I am happy with it. I have got to see a lot of shows from the past that I didn't even know about. The only thing that bothers me is the closed captions I had turned it on to view a show that wasn't english and now I can't turn it off.
Even though I went in the settings it says off but is still on the screen that's my only
complaint about roku.

great product. bought one for my 5 year old's bedroom as opposed to adding another cable box. only downside is that does not play continuously while watching live tv. it eventually goes back to the home screen and you have to start again. other than that, its been great

WE got the Roku 1 for our older TV and it works well. We can stream from our VUDU account as well as Netflix etc. The downside is that we were wanting to replace our cable and/or the cable DVR but the cost of the additional applications/streaming venues can cost as much as cable - depending on what you are looking to stream.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this unit used, it seems to work fine. I just wish I could figure out all the buttons on the remote control, as I did not get an instruction manual with it. I don't think the control buttons were well thought out as to how they control what I'm watching.
