Love it! Love it!

We bought 4 Roku 1's and we love it! We love that the set up was so easy. It is wonderful to be watching something on the tv downstairs, pause it, and go to a tv upstairs and finish watching it! I feel better using Roku than Charter Cable because I don't feel guilty for paying for something I am not using. I have recommended it to so many friends!

The Roku 1 is a nice streaming box, very compact easy to use and a great selection of channels.
I only give an average rating because of the following huge problem,
There is no parental controls what so ever.
For instance, Netflix does not have the normal options like on my other devices, were you can select the parent or kids content when you log in.
It's great for people with no small kids.

Stopped working after only 3 weeks

I loved my Roku 1 until it stopped working about 3 weeks from the day that I took it out of the box and set it up. It suddenly could not find any network. I contacted Roku who informed me that it was defective. I learned from other reviews that this is a common problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not work

I bought the roku about 3 months ago. I have been disappointed by the product. I have had it replaced and still does not operate correctly. particularly, this product always fails when using the Hulu plus channel. Very disappointed

Verry poor and bad features

I bought this 2 months ago, and regret that i spend my money on this product.
I can't even get channels like netflix, huluplus, vudu, espn, disney, hbo, pbs kids, pandora, and showtime anytime.
I don't even use it. All i can watch are very very but very old movies.
It's a waste of money and time.

Doesn't work

My son got a great deal of entertainment watching me spend hours trying to get our Roku to work. It constantly freezes and restarts. I'm returning it tomorrow. Looks like a great product, doesn't actually do anything. I'll find a different brand.

Stopped connecting to the internet

I've had this for a few months and then it just stopped working. Looked on numerous sites to find out others have the same problem. It will no longer connect to the internet. Tried it on different tvs with no luck. Could not return for a refund. Waste of money.
