Not the best remote I've ever used....

I've had the unit for awhile. Remote just sucks. Not responsive. Fresh batteries don't help it. I can hit the button and hear a responsive sound on the television, but nothing happens until the third or forth time I hit a button. I install a Roku remote app on my phone. Its very responsive. Work a thousand time better that my OEM remote. Other that that, good product.

Easy to Use and Dependable

I've had this Roku for several months now and love it! I'm sometimes intimidated by technology, but the set up on this was straightforward and the process went exactly as described. Picture and sound quality are excellent.

Performs as advertised, free options are limited. I think of it more as a Netflix/Amazon Prime player than as an entertainment resource in it's own right.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great buy! I had some trepidation about installing the Roku, but it was very easy and took no time at all. It gives a variety of program choices.

GREAT INVENTION

I own two Roku 1 boxes. Both Roku 1 boxes are on older television sets. This enables me to run Netflix or watch M-Go movies on those televisions. Because I have Netflix on the older tv sets, I chose to not set those tv sets up with cable. That saves money on my cable bill. The Roku 1 is VERY simple to set up. It is VERY simple to use. It is easier to access my Netflix on the Roku than it is on my Samsung smart tv set. I love this product.
