Waste of money

Everything I can do with this I can do with my computer. Netflix has been frozen since I got it so I can't watch anything on Netflix unless I use my computer. Almost everything you watch even old movies (that would probably be free on Netflix if worked) cost money. So basically I spent money on an extra little box that I have to continue to spend money on in order to watch anything. Just stick with your computer and don't waste the money!!

The roku says my wifi is excellent, but it's always freezing or loading. Sometimes I can't watch it at all.

Awful!

Bought it and it kept buffering. It was not a good experience at all and a waste of money. Took it back and bought Apple TV and it works perfect, so it couldn't have been connection issues.

Error message for Netflix

Our main objective in purchasing the Roku was to access Netflix. Shortly after purchasing & setting up, we began getting an "error" message when connecting to our Netflix account. At first it was intermittent, now constant. We have not been able to access Netflix for months. We have gone through the reset process to no avail As we anticipate winter, and an increase desire to watch TV, we are considering replacing the Roku with another brand.

I bought one about 2 months ago and we use it for sling tv and I would not recommend someone buying to roku 1 for that. You probably are going to want a 2 or 3 the processing was way to slow to keep up and it kept delaying and stalling and we have great internet so it wasn't that.

Roku 1 is gets awful reception. layout is terrible, you practically have to right in front of it, 2 ft in front of it to even change channels. not very clear picture i would have never purchased it if i would have know how awful it was. But we did need the old fashion hookups. waste in my eyes.
