I bought this because paid tv repeats to much. With my Roku I see new movies I have not viewed before and I can watch shows with out commercials and do not have to wait a week to see the next episode. I wish I had purchased it a long time ago. I love it!

I use mine everyday, at some point, when I get tired of regular TV. I subscribe to NetFlix, so it is just the thing to watch my net flix on my big screen. Highly recommend it to anyone!! Cee

Remote quit working a week later :-(

I got the original Roku back around 3 years ago and loved it. Never had a problem with it. Was fast and easy to use. This latest one I bought two months ago is nothing but problems. The interface is slow. The remote quit working soon after purchase. The light on the remote keeps flashing green and will not respond no matter how many times I press the reset button. I have to use my old remote on the new unit, carrying it from room to room. Will never purchase another Roku again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
