Works Really Well

I purchased it at the recommendation of our daughter who has had one for a couple of years. We don't have cable but have WiFi for our computers and the Roku works very well watching special channels and rarely ever buffers, I think my laptop buffers more when watching movies. It has given us zero problems.

Bought this several months ago and am now considering dropping my "basic" cable tv package. Works great with my older TV -- no need to buy a need fancy one with wifi. Only issue is that I end up having to juggle multiple remotes.

I love that I can watch my Amazon videos and movies on my TV. I have Acorn TV and love being able to watch on a big screen. There are so many other channels to watch, too, but these are my main ones. Fairly easy to set up and very easy to use.

Have had the Roku for about 6 months and it has been a pain for the last month. When I first turn it on it lets me select the first movie and watch with no problem. The first movie ends and I want to select another movie and it goes crazy and keeps advancing past the movie I want to stop on. It does not matter which direction I try to search in, left, right, up, or down, it just keeps scrolling and does not stop, therefore I can not select the movie I want to watch next.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I install Home Theaters and Smart Homes for a living and have set up internet streaming for most of my customers. Roku is by far the best streaming device on the market. My customers use it over their Smart TV's "built in" streaming. It's a convenient size for mounting behind a TV, has the best and easiest menu/movie navigation controls, and is priced low for any budget. Two thumbs up!
