Connection Problems

I bought this product to try to eliminate a problem I had with download speed accessing Netflix. I was running my cable through my DVD player that allowed access to Netflix. Roku worked fine for 5-6 months. No buffering, easy access. Lately contact with Netflix has been spotty. When I try to access a program I get a message that it could not find a connection. Very Frustrating
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my husband one then I had to have one. We bought them so we can watch the WWE Network. He watches movies all the time. I think this was a great investment for us cause we are on a fixed income and stay at home a lot. I have told all of our friends about the roku and a couple of them have already purchased one.

Easily makes a dumb TV Smart

The Roku 1 is very easy to install and works every time I use it. I have been able to easily stream Netfix Series, Movies, Documentaries, and others. Other than Netflix the Roku can connect to a lot of other content providers, all with the click of a button.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Have owned for a few months and enjoy having the flexibility to move it from room to room. Use it mainly for Netflix and Hulu plus and it works great.

easy to use streaming device

I have Amazon Prime and Netflix, and use the Roku 1 to stream TV shows and movies to my television. It is always ready to come on with one click on the remote. There are hundreds of channels available to use with the Roku.

Only one complant

Our Roku 1 works just as good in streaming video as our Roku 3. Only complaint is that the remote is IR instead of Bluetooth. I have found that you must point the remote directly at the player for it to function properly that from 10 feet away it can be unresponsive at times. However, it is $50 less expense that the 3, so I would recommend it for use in a bedroom or other small area.
