After getting rid of our cable do to cost and lack of good programming we purchased the Roku 1. My large family of 7 enjoy the variety of channels that we can get most are free however for a low cost you can purchase other channels if desired.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have had this for more than a year and it works flawlessly connecting and getting programs to watch. Great picture and sound. We used it to watch Netflix until we dropped it in favor of Amazon Prime mostly watching "free", inluded programs. We have also used it to watch PPV on M-GO and Amazon.
I would have given it 5 Stars but an annoyance is that its real clumsy to go from the end of one episode of a series to the next. Maybe I am missing something but I have had to resort to clicking "Home", "Amazon", "Recent" etc.
Also, but has not been a problem so far, is that you can only connect through Wi-Fi. Other gizmos offer the option to plug in an Ethernet cable for faster, more secure connection. To repeat though, we have not had a problem connecting through Wi-Fi.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An excellent little box with great features. I use mine with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Liftetime, HBOGo, and Funimation Roku channels. Mobile YouTube app also allows you to stream video from your phone to your Roku, making watching YouTube videos fantastic!
My one complaint is the remote requires line-of-sight to player; my Roku XS works anywhere.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku is easy to use and dependable, I don't have any problems that are not easy to fix by just unplugging and plugging it back up to reset it

Hey guy's stop wasting money on cable. Roku has it all. Cut my cable TV out and am saving about 100.00 dollars a month and have better choices. Thanks Roku1
