My roku is the bomb. I love it. Others have gotten it because of my reccomendations and love it too. I tell eveyone I meet about roku. Why pay comcast, direct tv...all that money when u don't have it. Especially since they go up every month, in price, especially so when your contract runs out. I am a widow with extremely limted funds. Even if I had the money I would not go back to their services. I hope roku become so popular that the big cable companys go out of business. I am saving so I can get another roku 1. Thanks for making the roku's.

When I bought the Roku 1, I loved it, it worked great and it was more than I expected. Then after about four months the sound went out. I tried everything to get it to work again, but didn't have any luck. I don't know if this is an isolated incidence or not, but if you get a working Roku you will enjoy it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had the Roku 1 for almost 6 months and have enjoyed the extra things available on NetFlix. No issues at all and it responds very quickly to the remote. Awesome

While buying a new tv some time ago, I had to decide whether to buy a "Smart" one or not. Having owned a roku lite, I decided to buy a roku1 and save the money "smart" would cost. Moved the lite to shop; now I'm covered all over my living areas. Love Roku!
