I've had this Roku for a few months now and I'm very pleased with it. My daughter has the Roku LT for her room, so I wasn't new to the Roku brand. I would recommend anyone on a budget looking for a good streaming player to purchase this one. It runs smoothly and if you have a HDMI cable, you'll enjoy the high definition perks.

This is so much better then getting a wii. You get so much more choices with this. Its a lot cheaper too. The only thing I cant seem to figure out, Is how to shut it off.

We have had this for a year now, we use it in addition to our cable provider, i like that it gives me access to netflix and my husband likes the anime

Love my Roku!

I have had my Roku for 8 months now and I still LOVE it as much as I did the day I set it up. It does a great job streaming... there is rarely a hiccup. It lost a star only because of content, not the player itself. Wish there were more REAL news channels (not just clips).

I have had my Roku 1 unit for about two months. I like the product, however, the free channels are very limited and many program channels and movies are old. Most popular (and contemporary) services (ie: Hulu Plus, Amazon etc) are fee based. Also, Each television set requires a Roku unit if you want to watch Roku programming in separate rooms.
Still, with appropriate planning Roku can be more cost effective than my current services. When my current Direc TV contract ends I anticipate using the Roku services as my primary television viewing source.

I brought the Roku1, installed it and was very impressed at how easy it was to connect to what I wanted. If the selections were better, I would probably consider doing away with my cable.
