We use it everyday dont have cable only thing is the remote does not work very well you have to hold it exactly in fort of the unit or it will not do anything.

I use this mostly to watch Netflix and Hulu Plus on my t.v. I use it everyday to the point where I barely watch cable anymore. The only downside is that I am currently having problems with the Roku randomly exiting to the home screen. It is extremely frustrating.

This is my second Roku box. Our smart tv suffered a power surge that took out all three of the HDMI ports. I needed a Roku that would still work on my injured television and the Roku 1 was all I could ask for. It has the three A/V (yellow red & white) on the back, next to the HDMI port. I plugged it into my tv's matching A/V ports and Bingo...I had decent tv again. Once the tv gets repaired, I will switch to the HDMI input since this Roku 1 has both options on the back. It is nice to have a streamer that truly works with any tv...even one that has lost all of its HDMI ports. Kudos, Roku!

Attach a couple of wires and presto you are connected to four companies that if you have a subscription or a free trial you will be able to stream them right on your tv
