Having used the Roku for several months now I am extremely pleased. To be able to watch T V shows uninterrupted by commercials is a blessing! The viewing selections are vast, I can always find something interesting to fit my mood! Don't know why I didn't get one sooner. You won't be disappointed!

I was able to cancel my dish network service. The monthly fee for satellite TV was deep in the purse in the situation I'm in.

Although the Roku works well most of the time, there are issues:
Whenever we lose power, the device takes a long time to "reboot" and sometimes it will not re-establish it's connection to the router.
Generally, streaming and image quality are good.
It's also a bit tricky to get all the internet channels you want.d
But the price is very reasonable.

I just love my Roku, low cost TV is wonderful

I bought the Roku because I could no longer afford the high price of Satellite TV. The longer I have it the better I like it. I only have noticed 1 glitch and that is once in a while it needs to be reset it just stops working out of the blue and I do unplug it at night because I did notice it gets hot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got the Roku1 for our family room use. Extremely easy to set up, and I love the channel selection. We have a "Smart" Blu-ray player, and almost always use the Roku channels, instead. It is much easier to navigate.
My first Roku was a Roku 2-XS. I love the ability to input data, and the controller's working on a signal, not IR, so you can place the player anywhere.

I can't say it's good or bad because I can't figure out how to use it. I want to watch basic local live channels. And so far i cant.

I bought my Roku about 6 months ago and I absolutely love it!! There are a few free "apps" as I call them like VEVO and Youtube. Its FREE STREAMING people! I also do have Amazon and Netflix which are paid subscriptions but all the more convenient with the Roku on my TV instead of just on the tablet. I highly recommend this to everyone who hates paying for cable or satellite. Its easy to set up literally like 1-2-3 and your done. I dont have a fast internet speed and it still works just fine. We will rarely get a blip in communication but it will happen at some point and in our experience it lasted for less than one minute. Also not a bad price in comparison with "apple" version or the "google" version. Checked those out too but the Roku seemed like the best fit for us and it definitely was!
