Wonderful unit!

I purchased one of these about a month ago and am so happy that I did. I recently purchased a 2nd one for my daughter to take to college when she goes in the fall. It works great! Recently we spent 10 days renting a home on vacation and brought it with us, hooked it up to one of the TV's and was excellent for streaming Netflix or any of the other many uses!!! I highly recommend!!

It's not bad, there are better products out there. It has some glitches. Occasionally it will just continuously scroll one way or another despite unplugging and waiting for an hour. This is the second roku that I've seen do this. I think it's just a problem with the 1

Great Roku experience, too slow for YouTube app

Everything about this player is great, but the official YouTube app runs terribly. Since YouTube is increasingly a source of the content my wife and I watch, this is a real issue. There is a privately made YouTube channel that works fine, so it's not YouTube's fault.

I've really enjoyed having a Roku--I bought it primarily to watch Crunchyroll, PBS, and Netflix. My wife almost had me return the product because she was unimpressed with the older version of Netflix that it came with. We're still really hoping for an update someday, as we have children and really need to be able to switch between profiles. As a result we've had to continue using our Nintendo Wii as a Netflix-box. Otherwise we've loved it, and I'm very happy that it cost me so little to replace the very annoying process of wiring my laptop into the TV and then fighting with resolution and aspect ratio issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!
