I received this for my birthday and have enjoyed it very much. My grandchildren also enjoy the movies they find that they are just now old enough to enjoy.

My partner and I are pretty average millennial cord cutters; we have no landline (and no interest in one) and we don't feel the need to have cable TV- definitely not cable news. We got a TV for free from a friend. Good news: free, and very large screen. Bad news: probably 10 years old and weighs as much as a baby elephant. Best news: Roku still sells boxes that work with pre-HDMI TV sets. We got our Roku 1 about six months ago and we're still totally in love with it. Still no cable TV, still no landline, still saving tons of money every month and still watching what we want, when we want. If you are young and broke and have an oldish TV, get a Roku, it makes that old whale of a TV worth having.

Just purchased, easy to setup and watching TV shows and movies. This is the first step in dropping my cable.

I bought this 8 months ago best money I ever spent. There are a lot of free channels with no monthly fees. I love my Roku player.

Fixed our problem

We were given a membership to Netflix, but could not get the signal on our older tv. Roku 1 fixed the problem and we have enjoyed it since.
