Slow processing, but Roku still Rocks!

As the owner of a Roku 3, I'm disappointed with the decreased speed of the Roku 1, and the occasional video hiccup. Otherwise, it's everything the Roku 3 is...just not quite as peppy and stable. I recommend the Roku 3 over the Roku 1, to anyone who asks.

I bought this item just over three months ago. and i am not sold on this model yet. There was another one that work much better, but it kept giving me problems. So i return it and got this one.

When I bought my Roku 1 it worked great, however lately it has been shutting down and restarting on its own. It will then reconnect and I'm able to resume my program. However it is annoying when this happens in the middle of a program. I also have a Roku 2 and that seems to do well.

I purchased Roku 3 months ago and I love it. I use netflix, hulu, pandora and several movie channels every day. Its easy to set up and use.

This thing is so great. When you buy it, also buy a HDMI cable. You don't have to buy one, but the picture is better and there is no way to plug it in wrong. Don't worry if you don't have a 12 year old kid to set it up; even a senior citizen can do it.
I bought Netflix. Friends have bought Hulu plus. Whatever you choose, it's really cheap entertainment.

I haven't had any problems with my Roku 1. The only minor complaint is it is a little slow sometimes and doesn't have a official twitch app. I did download a unofficial twitch app but it sometimes doesn't work but is better then nothing. I think if I was buying a new roku I would go with the roku 3. I'm sure it handles menu and other stuff faster. I have a very fast internet and my smart tv in another room is faster then the roku 1 but I still recommend if you need a cheap streaming player.
